Google announce 500$ million for the flood effected people for Pakistan
Pakistan continues its battle against deadly floods triggered by the heaviest monsoon rains in a decade, Google has announced a $500 million (Rs110 million) donation for the flood affectees.
The floods have killed almost 1,200 people and submerged one-third of the country, and Google’s donation will go towards relief efforts.
Google said that it would be donating $500,000 to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy through its philanthropic arm. The donation will be used to provide sub-grants to local organizations that are actively engaged in crisis response and recovery.
